Types of Events

Distinguished Speaker Program (DSP) / Special Speaker Program (SSP):  A luncheon or breakfast featuring a presentation by business, government and global speakers on national and world affairs and economic development.

Manager’s Toolbox (MT):  Geared to small businesses and first level managers of larger firms.  Informative seminars on a wide range of topics to assist up-and-coming managers with new skills and understanding.

Spirit of Vancouver (SOV) / Special Events: Community focused events which may focus on athletics, volunteerism or the non profit sector.

Policy Forums: Presented by a panel of experts addressing timely and important policy issues that impact the region and the province.

Members Receptions: Complimentary evening events held monthly. They offer members the opportunity to showcase their business and guests enjoy some appetizers while making some new connections.

LOT EVENTS:

Executive Roundtable Lunches: Offer LOT Members the opportunity to attend discussion lunches with local esteemed industry leaders and engage in discussion in a roundtable format. These are often held at one of our sponsor’s offices or directly following a DSP or SSP Presentation.

Speed Networking Event: Annual event hosted by and for LOT Program Participants offering them the opportunity to meet many Mentors and Mentees in a short Period of Time.

Graduation: An opportunity to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of this year's LOT Program Participants. In addition to receiving a completion certificate and exclusive opportunity to continue your membership with the Board as part of our Company of Young Professionals Program, we host an awards ceremony to recognize the Mentor of the Year, Mentee of the Year, and Committee Members of the Year.

CYP EVENTS:

Young Professionals Leadership Bootcamp: An annual event offering LOT and CYP Members the opportunity to hear from a panel of young successful business leaders about the elements of Leadership.

Young Professional Social Mixers: Evening receptions at trendy locations offering LOT and CYP Members the opportunity to connect with other young people in a casual setting.

Development Nights: Educational evenings offering LOT and CYP Members information and ideas to better themselves both personally and professionally.
